After a two-year hiatus due to the health crisis, the Third Meeting of the Historical Sites of the Grimaldis of Monaco will be held on 4 and 5 June 2022 on the Place du Palais Prinicer.

Following diplomatic agreements and marriage alliances, the Princes of Monaco acquired titles including the Duke of Valentinois, Marquis of Baux, Count of Carladès, Baron of Saint-Lô, Count of Longjumeau, Sire of Matignon, etc… Consequently, there are nearly 150 sites in France and Italy that have centuries-old links to the Grimaldi Family. To maintain these links into the future, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince was keen to bring some of them together every year.

Three sites will attend the event in 2022: Manche (Saint-Lô, Hambye, Torigny-les-Villes, Granville, Moyon, Percy-en-Normandie and Cherbourg), Territoire de Belfort (Belfort and Giromagny) and Alpes-Maritimes (Cagnes-sur-Mer, La Turbie, Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, Puget-Théniers and Peille). Over the course of the two days, each will present some of things that make it unique, including crafts, folklore, culinary specialties or activities showcasing their traditions.

Another highlight not to be missed will be the sound and light show projected onto the facade of the Prince’s Palace at around 10.15 p.m. on Saturday 4 June.
