On 22 February 2021, H.E. Ms Marie-Pascale Boisson, at the Ministry of State, presented her credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to H.E. Mr David Hurley, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at Government House in Canberra.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this virtual ceremony – the first in Monegasque diplomatic history – was held via videoconference from the Ministry of State at 7.10 a.m. in the morning, or 5.10 p.m. local time in Canberra.

After presenting the letters of recall for her predecessor and her own credentials, the Ambassador emphasised to the Governor-General the excellent status of relations between Australia and the Principality of Monaco.

In particular, H.E. Ms Marie-Pascale Boisson recalled the concerns shared by the two countries in relation to the environment and protecting the oceans.

She then assured the Governor-General of her commitment to sustaining and deepening the ties that have united Australia and the Principality of Monaco for many years.
