Dear Compatriots, Dear Residents, Dear Friends,

At the end of this year 2021 which, once again, has not spared our societies, our planet, from the dramatic consequences of the health and environmental crises, this moment of exchanging greetings is important. Indeed, it is essential that each and every one of us can take a break to recharge our batteries in order to face, both individually and collectively, the challenges ahead.

SAS vœux nouvel an

Our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Every day we are reminded of the precariousness of the situation, with the risk that the gains made during 2021 will be constantly under threat. We must be responsible in the face of this epidemic by not only respecting the protective measures but also by being aware that today, our only truly effective weapon remains vaccination.

Our responsibility is not only to ourselves, but above all to our loved ones and to the society in which we live. Beyond that, we have a responsibility to future generations to whom we will bequeath an economic, social and environmental situation which will depend on our present actions. I am convinced that if we continue to show solidarity, 2022 will be another step towards a pre-pandemic world but which is more just and humane.

I express my gratitude to the women and men who, through their selfless commitment, bring comfort and happiness to those suffering and those most affected by crises and conflicts around the world. I would also like to pay tribute to the health workers, the police and the security forces who continue to carry out their work under constant pressure with selflessness. They deserve our warmest thanks. Likewise, I salute the tireless work of the men and women who serve our institutions, which enables us to preserve our model of society. The private sector is also playing its part.

The strength and determination of all of us to overcome the obstacles imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic are decisive acts of solidarity with our elders, but they are also the foundation of hope for the future for the younger generations. Our country is a place of peace and prosperity where solidarity, individual and collective, private and public, is strongly expressed, because its population is aware of its privileges.

Dear Compatriots, Dear Residents, Dear Friends,

The Principality will continue its development based on the values that have always been its strength:

  • confidence in its economic and social model;
  • generosity and compassion towards the most vulnerable and disadvantaged;
  • an inclusive, fair and sustainable society.

I am fully determined and committed to ensuring that my country fulfils its responsibilities and commitments to its people and to future generations. I have every confidence in our ability to overcome the challenges we face as we have always done in our history.

My Family joins me in extending our warmest wishes for 2022.

Happy new Year! Bonne nouvelle année! Bon Anu Noevu!
